Re-marketing is usually used in two ways

  • Increase overall conversion rate of your site, by keeping yourself on people‚Äôs minds while the compare suppliers.
  • Be more aggressive with other targeting methods when showing ads to anybody who has been to your site before.

Remarketing and interest categories allow you to segment your audiences in custom combinations. By utilizing multiple remarketing lists with different pages viewed or cookie lengths you can target people in increasingly clever ways.

In the above example remarketing was not implemented in the month of December 2011. The client then approached for improvement to their content campaigns as their CPL was pretty high for banner ads. One of the major changes we made is that we implemented Remarketing in the last week of December.

Within a span of few weeks only Remarketing accounted for almost 22% of the overall conversions & cost/conversion for remarketing ad group was almost 40% below average CPA for content campaign.
